Aisha K. Khan brings a commitment to enriching the minds and academic experience of physician assistant students. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences with Independent Research and completed a Master’s Degree with Thesis in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Quinnipiac University. She then furthered her education at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences and its affiliated hospitals, and completed a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

Aisha has previously taught Biology as an adjunct faculty member for the Department of Biology at Quinnipiac University. Her clinical experience includes previous employment as a cardiothoracic physician assistant for the Heart & Vascular Center (HVC) at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she has worked in the CTICU, step-down, and floor during the pre and post-operative phase. She is currently employed with the Recovery Network of Programs providing primary care to patients in detoxification.

In addition to her clinical experience, she was also fortunate to have been able to mentor second year graduate students for the Yale School of Nursing Nurse Practitioner Program and to mentor physician assistant students from the Yale Physician Associate Program.   She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants (ConnAPA), Connecticut Physician Assistant Foundation (PAF), and is board certified and licensed in Connecticut.
