The University of Bridgeport’s Dual Enrollment Program offers an exciting opportunity for high school students to start earning college credits. You can earn credits by enrolling in approved classes taken at your high school. Once you have successfully completed a Dual Enrollment Program course, you will receive academic credit that is equal to completion of the same course taught at UB.

Q: How many credits will I earn for each course?
A: Each course is 3 credits.
Q: How many Dual Enrollment classes can I enroll in?
A: Typically, students enroll in one class at a time. However, there is no limit if you have met the academic prerequisites.
Q: What are the requirements to take these courses?
A: Each course has individual prerequisites. For example, engineering courses require the prior completion of specific math classes. To learn the prerequisites for a particular class, go to dualenrollment@bridgeport.edu.
Q: Where are Dual Enrollment Program classes held?
A: At your Connecticut high school, if it has been approved to participate in our program.
Q: How long is each Dual Enrollment course?
A: Just like college courses, all Dual Enrollment courses are one semester long and available in the fall and spring
Q: Who teaches Dual Enrollment classes?
A: Teachers at your high school will be certified to instruct the Dual Enrollment classes, which are based on a syllabus we provide.
