My UB To-Do List

Whether you are an incoming Freshmen or Transfer student, review the following checklist to ensure you are following all the necessary steps to complete your enrollment.

1. Apply for Financial Aid

To apply for financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For official filing deadlines, visit

2. Complete Your Aid Package

The signed award letter should be returned only if you are rejecting any of the aid on your award letter. Please keep in mind if you are accepting all the aid we do not need the award letter back.

3. Complete and Return your “Confirmation of Undergraduate Admissions Acceptance” form

Complete your “Confirmation of Undergraduate Admissions Acceptance” form that came in your acceptance packet and mail to the Admissions Office with your $200 tuition deposit. The deadline for submission of this form is May 1st. You may also pay your deposit electronically.

4. Complete the Housing License and Meal Contract form

If you plan to live on campus, submit your $200 housing deposit and complete the Housing License and Meal Contract forms online through the MyUB Portal.

Note: Any student under the age of 21 or who have accumulated less than 90 academic credits is required to live on campus unless they request and receive approval from the Office of Housing, Residential Life and Community Standards to live off campus. Read more about housing policies at UB.

5. Complete and Return the Health History Form

Return the required Health History Form, including proof of measles, rubella, meningitis and tuberculosis immunizations to Health Services. While there is no deadline for submission, these forms must be submitted before you register for classes.

6. Choose an Orientation Date

Summer 2018 Session Dates:

Session 1: Monday, July 9 – Tuesday, July 10 (Registration is now closed)

Session 2: Friday, July 13 – Saturday, July 14 (Registration is now closed)

Session 3: Monday, July 16 – Tuesday, July 17

Transfer Students: Wednesday, July 11

7. Prepare for Move-in

As you prepare for move-in day, print out a copy of our “Items to Bring” list to make sure you don’t forget anything!

8. Pay Tuition, Complete Loan Entrance Counseling, and Master Promissory Note

Pay your UB tuition and fee bill or make arrangements with Student Financial Services to set up a payment plan before the start of classes. If you have taken out loans to cover a portion of your tuition, don’t forget to complete your Entrance Counseling and sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN). For more information, visit

9. Follow Up on Any Remaining Tuition Balance

If you have a remaining balance not covered by loans, contact Student Financial Services to pay in full or set up a payment plan in your myUB portal before the start of the semester. Those interested in payment plan options should determine the cost of attending the University of Bridgeport for the semester, subtract all net Financial aid received (not including Federal Work-Study), and budget the remaining balance through the interest-free payment plan available on the Portal.

10. View Your Health Coverage

All full-time undergraduate students are required to have health insurance and are automatically enrolled in UB’s Health Insurance Plan at registration and charges are automatically added to student accounts. You may view coverage information at University Health Plans.

11. Optionally Waive Your UB Health Insurance
