Under the Connecticut Promise, no in-state freshman or transfer student will pay more than

for tuition, fees, and room & board.

UB’s Connecticut Promise Program ensures that students from Connecticut have:

  • a maximum out-of-pocket cost of $13,000* for commuters

  • a maximum out-of-pocket cost of $19,500* for students living on campus

*This maximum out-of-pocket cost does include any institutional, federal, and state grants and scholarships that students receive in their financial aid package.  For example, if a student plans to live on campus, the sticker price would be $43,840.  If he or she initially receives a financial aid award that includes $18,000 in scholarships and grants, then his or her total cost would be reduced to $25,840.  UB’s Connecticut Promise Program will award the student an additional $6,340 to cover the difference and bring the total down to $19,500—making their cost for an exceptional private school education lower than that of most public universities.

*Some exclusions apply.
